If you have ever followed a pony car, new or old that had sequential, it won't be long before you are looking for a solution. WebElectric Products has that solution. Email them if you have any questions regarding availability for your year. WebElectic Products Email The harness installation supplied by WebElectric Products is another option for those of you who don't want to risk messing with their stock harness. The harness comes complete with the extra socket wired with the relay install, complete to the OEM plug. Each socket is marked on the back with the respective tail light location to provide the proper sequencing from inside to outside. To remove the taillight fixtures, you have to access the back side of the rear valance. This requires removing the back panel inside the trunk. It is held on by the 2 cargo net hooks/nuts, and 4 retainer body panel pins that also hold the scuff plate in place. Carefully remove the back panel and set it aside. It is flexible but it can also kink/crack. You will be able to easily see 2 of the studs that protrude from the signal lens. A 3rd one is hidden behind the side panel and the 4th is behind a strengthening bracket. Once you have removed the 4 nuts that restrain the taillight fixture in place, you can remove it from the back of the car. It is guided into position by 2 plastic studs on the outside fender portion of the fixture. Wiggle the taillight fixture back and forth slightly while pulling back towards you, the taillight fixtures will slowly work itself loose. Once you have taillight fixtures loose from the car, carefully remove all of the stock light sockets by twisting them our of the fixture. Unhook the stock wire harness plug located inside the trunk and remove the signal harness completely. The relay or black cylinder portion of the harness needs to go through the existing hole in the rear valance. Once through the hole, the plug can be brought through the hole by holding the relay wires off to the side. Populate the supplied harness with lights from the stock sockets. While you have the fixtures out of the car, this would be a good time to replace all the bulbs. If you choose to re-use your existing bulbs, the first light (closest to the center of the car) is now going to require 2 elements to act as both a brake and a signal. If you have a duel element light start here, otherwise, obtain a #3157 bulb and install it into this socket. Following the numbering sequence on the harness from inside to out, secure each socket to the taillight fixture. With all of the light sockets mated back to the taillight fixture, it is time to secure it back into the car. Alignment is fairly straight forward with a couple of pins on the outer edge to help out. Line up the pin and the studs with their respective holes and push firmly on the lens to seat it in place. Replace the nuts that you removed earlier but be careful not to over tighten them. WebElectric Products supplies plenty of pull-ties to secure wires out of the way, it keeps things neat and tidy so take some time to secure everything out of the way. You are now ready to clean up, close the trunk, and test the sequential tail lights out. Enjoy!
