The headrests are really easy to remove with a cutoff piece of coat hanger.

Extend the headrest all of the way.  Lift the plastic trim around the head rest support bar, all the way up.  

Slide  the coat hanger all the wall down the slot until it stops against the bottom.  This is the locking tab that will be released.  Push the headrest and the coat hanger all the way in
Pull both out together.
